Make your own photo story / slideshow for your wedding
This will be useful for those who are about to get married.
Are you planning to show everyone some of your old childhood photos or wedding snapshots during the wedding dinner party? In the past, it is normal to pay some professional folks to do this for you. Well, not anymore. If you know how to use a scanner and know what is a ‘mouse’, then you can do this!!
Everyone knows Microsoft. They have this free program called ‘Photostory3′. Have you seen photos that comes ‘alive’ with some sort of camera panning? This thing is just as what the title says. Use this function to create that video montage on your wedding party and save lots of $$$$.
Using it is fairly easy too. Once downloaded, you can immediately get started. When you start a new project, you will be required to select photos that you need to use for the slide show. You can select different photos while keeping the ‘ctrl’ key down. You can even select all photos in a folder by using the ‘ctrl+a’ key. Once done, you will be guided step-by-step. You can add caption, add narration (voice recording), make some photo correction / tweaks like red eye elimination, color correction, add effects, making transitions and one thing I like the best is that you can customize the panning ‘start’ and the ‘end’ of the presentation. For instance you could start by zooming right in the face of your grandmother and having it to show the entire photo by the time the panning ends. Oh, you could save your projects too. That way, you can edit half way and do it later in case your future mother-in-law calls you up and ask for some fashion tips.
Below is a sample of the video result from ‘Photostory3′. I randomly select some of my wedding celebration in my good ol’ hometown of Popot Village, in Kudat, Sabah.
Go and get them from Mr Bill Gates link to the MS website. Oh by the way, you need to have genuine Windows installed in your pc.
